Commercial Short-Term

Commercial Property, Fleet & Specialist Cover

Specialist commercial insurance for Namibian businesses — from single-shop retailers to industrial plants. We structure cover that holds up under audit, claim, and growth.

What is Commercial Property, Fleet & Specialist Cover?

Commercial insurance is where the cost of getting it wrong is highest. An under-insured warehouse fire, an uncovered machine breakdown, a missing professional indemnity policy — any of these can end a business. And yet it's also where the most under-priced, under-scoped policies are sold.

We specialise in placing complex commercial risk with Namibian and South African underwriters. That means proper sums-insured calculations, the right wording for your industry, and policy structures that pay out cleanly when audited or claimed against.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my sum insured is correct?

You shouldn't be guessing. Buildings should be insured at replacement value (not market value), and contents/plant at current new replacement cost. We arrange professional valuations where needed and review annually.

What's the difference between Public Liability and Professional Indemnity?

Public Liability covers physical injury or property damage to third parties. Professional Indemnity covers financial loss caused by your professional advice or services. Most professional firms need both.

Can you cover construction and contractor risks?

Yes — Contractors All Risks (CAR), plant and machinery breakdown, third-party liability, and professional indemnity for engineers, architects, and project managers.

Does my commercial policy include cyber cover?

Almost certainly not — cyber is a separate add-on or standalone policy. Given the data-protection obligations and supplier-chain exposure most Namibian businesses now carry, it's worth pricing for any business handling personal data or processing payments.
